How will technology meet the challenge of climate change?

This was the question posed at a recent FLINT Waikato event in Hamilton where participants provided their views from the perspective of energy, farming, zero waste and technology in general, to an audience made of technology sector representatives, small business, council and members of the general public interested in finding out more.

“According to the Ministry for the Environment (NZ) climate change is the biggest environmental challenge of our time and if left unchecked it will have broad social and economic impacts. Technology has a role to play in our fight against climate change and we wanted to host an event that provided an opportunity to hear from people already utilising technology in this way around the region” says Craig Young, Chief Executive at TUANZ (Telecommunication Users Association of NZ).
