Thames school goes solar, saves hundreds in two months

A Thames school is leading the way in the adoption of sustainable energy, having recently installed solar panels that will keep costs down and kids cosy all winter.

Moanataiari School celebrated the start of the chilly season by unveiling 76 new solar panels, becoming the first school in town to do so.

The panels were installed at the end of April and by two months they had already saved the school $780.
