A promise to his dying son led Ben Martel to create a life-enhancing technology to reduce the social isolation of children with long-term illnesses.
Martel's son Liam was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13 in 2013, and died in 2016.
"Not too long before he died he looked me in the eye and said, 'Dad, I'd like you to do something that would make a difference to teenagers who are diagnosed with long-term illness'," Martel said.
