End of digital divide nigh for north Waikato

Huntly will soon get high-speed internet, a move that will end the digital divide.

The work is part of the Government's Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) programme, which will see high-speed fibre broadband in cities and towns across the country.

The build in Huntly will offer up to 3,000 potential connections to homes and businesses.
A karakia with local iwi, comprising of Ngāti Mahuta, Ngāti Whaawhaakia, and Ngāti Kuiaarangi, was held on the banks the Waikato River to welcome UFF to the community and to bless the work that is to be undertaken.
